Practical skills for work, money and entrepreneurship

Young people have been part of APPORTE’s target group from the beginning. We believe that entrepreneurship education should not start only when somebody is ready to open a company. It begins much earlier, with understanding money, employment, responsibility and how everyday financial decisions work.

In 2026, APPORTE was invited by a local school to organize entrepreneurship workshops for students. The sessions introduced young people to the practical side of developing a business idea and helped them better understand what is involved in becoming an entrepreneur.

During these workshops, we noticed that many students were also asking more basic questions about personal finance and employment. They wanted to understand how to manage a monthly budget, read a salary and payslip, plan expenses and savings, compare employment opportunities and negotiate their first salary.

Following this experience, the school invited us to continue the cooperation and include more activities related to personal finance. We realized that young people retain these topics better when they can work with practical situations instead of only listening to explanations.

We are therefore developing workshops that combine clear professional information with practical exercises, cases, simulations, discussions and other interactive methods.

Topics we work with

Our activities with young people can include:

  • personal and monthly budgeting;
  • saving and planning expenses;
  • understanding a salary and payslip;
  • comparing job offers;
  • salary negotiation;
  • introduction to employment and self-employment;
  • entrepreneurship and developing a business idea;
  • basic financial responsibilities of entrepreneurs;
  • understanding taxes and administrative obligations;
  • making informed financial decisions.

Our aim is to help young people develop practical competences they can use immediately and later apply when entering employment, becoming independent or starting their own business.

APPORTE is interested in cooperating with schools, youth organizations and educators in the Nice area who would like to organize practical workshops on financial literacy, employment and entrepreneurship. Please use the contact form below if you are interested.
